With very high expectations entering the 2002-03 season,
it became one of disappointment and change.
After a 6-4 start through 10 games, the Hawks dropped
12 of 17, costing head coach Lon Kruger his job. Assistant
coach Terry Stotts replaced Kruger and had a rough start
as well, going 3-11.
